The NFL preseason was supposed to kick off this evening, with a game featuring non-starters and fringe players from the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts, on the menu of Goodell's Restaurant & Meat Market and More.
However, apparently the field conditions were so atrocious that the game wasn't just delayed... It was outright canceled.
No one wanted to see the Packers play, anyways.
I'm told teams being informed there will not be a Hall of Game tonight due to unsafe playing field conditions

Football is back. But there is a lot of concern about the playability of the turf in Canton. pic.twitter.com/RUuF0S1uOB

The paint that was applied today on middle of field, and in endzones, has congealed; would be like playing on tar.

Game now doubtful.
Parts of Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio are as hard as concrete in opinion of multiple players. Unsafe, they say.

Teams have been told tonight's Hall-of-Fame game has been cancelled. Now awaiting official announcement.

HOF Pres David Baker said tonight's cancelled game will cost not-for-profit HOF about $4 million but called it "an easy, ethical decision."
