This has been one of the shorter Chicago Bears’ training camps that I can remember and the reason for the short stay in Bourbonnais, is the Bears will practicing with the New England Patriots next week.
On Thursday the Bears will host the Denver Broncos for preseason game #1, then they’ll be off until Saturday when they practice at Halas Hall. They’l hold one more practice at Halas Hall on Sunday before heading out to workout with the Patriots on Monday and Tuesday, in advance of preseason game #2 in New England on Thursday, August 18.
No on to some injury nuggets from the final day of camp...
Head coach John Fox said it was important for wide out Alshon Jeffery to play some this preseason. Jeffery was limited the last couple days with his hamstring issue, but there were no reported setbacks to his leg. Wide out Eddie Royal and tight end Zach Miller remained out with their concussions. Tight end Greg Scruggs is still out with a bruised lung and ILB Nick Kwiatkoski is sidelined as well. Back up offensive tackle Nick Becton was also held out.
Starting ILB Danny Trevathan practiced on a limited basis today.
The PUP listed Pernell McPhee was still out, and this morning on WSCR 670AM, the Chicago Tribune’s Brad Biggs remarked that his sources said that the Baltimore Ravens (McPhee’s former team) were not surprised that he had a bad knee.
No on to a few Tweets...

Here’s proof that Jeffery was suited up for those non-believers out there.

But what about Tress Way, how’s he looking out in Washington? What about that rookie UDFA punter the Bears cut that everyone already forgot about? Oh No!

It’s time to bench Jay Cutler.

Brian Hoyer is clearly the better quarterback based on these last two tweets.

OK, Cutler can stay as the #1...
Just like last year, a very spirited final #Bears public practice in Bourbonnais.

Thoughts about the end of Camp Fox 2016?
