Bears Vs. Browns Final Score: Chicago Runs For First Win of Preseason Against Cleveland

The preseason has ended and the Bears finally won a game. Who won or lost a job today?

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

Just like that, the preseason is over, and the Bears finally notched their first and only win of the preseason. The Browns' defense may not be what it's been in seasons past, but there was still quite a bit to like about the Bears' performance tonight. Kevin White got some extended action and actually looked pretty good. Jordan Howard ran over people late. And the Bears held the Browns scoreless over the final three quarters after falling behind 7-3 to storm to a 21-7 win.

Most of the Bears starters were on the sidelines, so the Bears started out with their second-string offense and defense against the first string players of the Browns, and it showed as the Browns took advantage of a special teams gaffe by BJ Daniels to take a 7-3 lead. But after that, the Bears got a short touchdown out of Ka'Deem Carey, some good pass breakups by Deiondre Hall and Jacoby Glenn against Josh Gordon, then Josh Howard took a short field (1st and 10 at the CLE 34) and in three plays took up all that yardage himself to the end zone.

However you want to look at the final result of tonight's game, please be mindful that of the 75 players on tonight's roster, 22 will be off the Bears on Saturday and some may have played their last football. That may include Cornelius Washington, who left with another knee injury tonight.

We're done with the preseason. The real fun starts next Sunday.
