As Bruce Buffer would say... We. Are LIIIVE!
The Chicago Bears could have qualified for a Hard Knocks season based on the way the last couple of years have gone, and after a very interesting offseason, we finally get back to real football.
The five team captains were announced this week, as voted on by the players themselves, and John Fox will add in one extra per week based on his criteria. The permanent captains are Jay Cutler, Alshon Jeffery, Danny Trevathan, Pernell McPhee, and Sherrick McManis.
J.J. Watt will play today for the Houston Texans, but he will reportedly be on a pitch count so as not to over-use him after returning from back surgery.
The Chicago Bears will have both Kyle Long and Kevin White in the starting lineup, and since neither of them are 100%, it will be interesting to see how well they do.
Keep an eye on the Bears offensive line early in the game, as Cody Whitehair will get the start at Center, and newly signed Josh Sitton will be starting at Guard.
This is your Bears vs Texans 1st Quarter Open Thread... Have fun!
