**SCORE UPDATE**

Chicago Bears 7

Houston Texans 0

-------------------

The first quarter started off about as perfectly as the Chicago Bears could have hoped, with the Texans first offensive possession ending with a Tracy Porter interception, and the Bears first offensive possession ending with a Jeremy Langford touchdown.

The Texans second possession ended with a punt, and Eddie Royal ripped off a 30 yard return to set the Bears up nicely for their second possession. Unfortunately, the Bears second possession ended with a 4th-and-1 attempt in which Jay Cutler fumbled the snap and failed to convert.

With time winding down in the 1st, the Houston Texans were driving and threatening. Ball inside the Bears 50 yard line.  Can the Bears hold?

Hopefully we continue to see in-game adjustments by the Bears coaching staff, which was a strength for the team last season.

This is your Chicago Bears vs. Houston Texans 2nd Quarter Open Thread... Have fun!
