**SCORE UPDATE**

Chicago Bears 0

Philadelphia Eagles 3

-----------------------

The Chicago Bears had hoped to get off to a fast start in front of their home crowd on Monday night versus the Eagles, and after the opening National Anthem by living legend Jim Cornelison, Soldier Field was rocking.

The Bears got the ball first, but the engine sputtered and died before even getting out of the driveway. Their first series looked like a college offense trying to play against an NFL defense, resulting in a punt.

Their second series saw Jay Cutler get going a little bit, completing passes to four different targets. Faced with a 3rd down in the red zone, Cutler threw a should-have-been-picked football dropped by an Eagles defender, and on 4th down... Doink.  Connor Barth missed a chip shot field goal.

How will the 2nd Quarter shake out?

This is your Monday Night Football Open Thread... Have fun!
