Kyle Fuller to Injured Reserve, John Timu promoted

The Chicago Bears made a few more roster moves today after the addition of running back Joique Bell. The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Bears are placing cornerback Kyle Fuller on injured reserve. With the new IR rules dictating that teams no longer need to announce if a player is on season ending IR or the “designated to return” IR, there’s a chance Fuller returns in 8 weeks.

The Chicago Tribune’s Brad Biggs is reporting that the Bears are waiving linebacker Jonathan Anderson and elevating linebacker John Timu from the practice squad. If Anderson clears waivers, he’ll likely be brought back to the practice squad.

Biggs is also reporting that the Bears have released back up tight end Greg Scruggs.

With Fuller to IR, the Bears can add a player to take his spot on the roster. Some practice squad candidates are fullback Paul Lasike, undrafted free agent tight end Ben Braunecker or fan favorite wide receiver Daniel Braverman.

Once the 53rd man is added, we’ll pass along the info, stay tuned...

EDIT: The Bears have signed former Packer, Raider and Lion defensive lineman C.J. Wilson (6’3’, 290). Their roster is now full.
