NFL Waiver Wire Order 2016: Chicago Bears get top-11 option to pick

If the Bears are wanting to grab someone off waivers, they're in a pretty good position to do so.

Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bears will be transaction-happy starting today and over the next several days, as they still have a bit of an imbalance between the offense and defense, and still have some holes and concerns on their roster that need to be addressed.

We know general manager Ryan Pace is not going to sit back and wait for things to unfold in front of him-- he's going to jump in head first and end up with a stack of NFL roster transactions when it's all said and done.

If you want a good primer on the waiver wire process, click HERE. The tl/dr version: Players with less than four years of service that were released yesterday will go through the waiver process. Players with four years vested or more will skip the waiver process and automatically become free agents.

If the Bears are going to claim anyone off of waivers, they'll have a pretty good shot.  The waiver wire pecking order is the NFL Draft order, and the Bears come in at #11 overall. We'll see if they use that to their advantage today
