The practice squad of the Chicago Bears is now at the maximum of 10 players with the addition of Laurence Gibson (OL), a former 7th round 2015 draft pick of the Dallas Cowboys. Gibson, who played his college ball at Virginia Tech, was a member of the final cuts his rookie season.

The Kansas City Chiefs added him to their practice squad that year and he remained there all of 2015. He was cut following 2016’s rookie minicamp.

He was snatched up by the Atlanta Falcons and made it all offseason until their final round of cuts.

He has played in a zone blocking scheme, but the knock on him in college was inconsistent technique and functional strength. He’s a good athlete, so maybe the Bears will be able to develop his skills.

Here’s his NFL Combine page.

Here is the current 10 man Bears practice squad, keep in mind that this is an ever changing group of players, but when ever they make a change, we’ll bring you the news right here at Windy City Gridiron.
