NFL: Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bears entered the 2016 with high hopes— John Fox and crew (minus Adam Gase but still with Dowell Loggains and Vic Fangio) were entering their second season together, the NFL Draft had looked promising, and if 2015 were any indication, this team had some talent and some fight.

Fast-forward to, oh I don’t know, around the first game of the season.... And things started off about as badly as no one had imagined. The Bears started out 1-6, and met the Minnesota Vikings in Week 8 just before their Bye. The Bears beat the Vikings 20-10, and gave the most die-hard fans a little glimmer of hope that they could come out and run the tables after their Bye week, but since then, much of the same.

The Bears are currently 3-12, solidly sitting with top-5 draft position, and have more questions than answers at this point.

But, they’re facing a Vikings team in the last game of the season that they’ve already beaten this season, so they’ve got that going for them.

This is your Bears vs Vikings 1st Quarter Open Thread... Have fun!
