The Chicago Bears didn’t look too great in the first half of Sunday’s game versus the Minnesota Vikings... The Vikes jumped out to a 17-0 lead, Matt Barkley threw his 9th interception in three games, Jeremy Langford put the ball on the ground, special teams had another lost fumble, and some dude in a Brett Favre jersey had seats cleared and law enforcement called due to an unsafe protest.
It is worth noting, however, that the Bears did finally get a touchdown, on a Matt Barkley RECEIVING touchdown nonetheless. He caught a ball from wide receiver Cameron Meredith, who was a quarterback in high school and college.
But shortly after that, the Bears muffed a punt, which lead to yet another Vikings touchdown. Bears down 24-10 at the half.
Additionally, Jordan Howard officially became the all-time rookie rusher in Bears history, passing Matt Forte for the record. Howard did so despite being noticeably sick on the sidelines early on.
Can the Bears get something together and make this a competitive game in the 2nd half? Stay tuned...
This is your Bears vs Vikings 3rd Quarter Open Thread... Have fun!
