The Chicago Bears are set to have large amount of cap space to play with, as they look to retool their current rebuild, and hopefully win more than three games in 2017. But before they think about adding free agents from other teams, they’ll need to make a decision on their own free agents.
The big domino to fall will be wide out Alshon Jeffery, but he’s one of four Bear wide outs coming out of contract. They also have four quarterbacks that will hit free agency in 2017, two tight ends with expiring contracts and 5 back up offensive linemen, three of which started games in 2016.
Their kicker and long snapper are free agents too.
In the latest episode of my podcast, T formation Conversation (Subscribe now on iTunes!), I hit on every Bears 2017 unrestricted, restricted and exclusive rights free agent currently on the roster, and speculate on what general manager Ryan Pace will do.
Give the show a listen, then let us know what you guys think about the Bears’ free agents.
