The Green Bay Packers, much to the dismay of Chicago Bears and other NFC teams, always seem to get hot when it matters the most. They have dealt with as much adversity as anyone else— injury issues, coaching issues, drafting issues... But they always seem to come out ahead.
Today they are facing an equally as-tough Atlanta Falcons team that is well-balanced and able to score a lot of points. The story this week for Atlanta has revolved around Matt Ryan’s post-season legacy— he’s got a losing record in the playoffs, but personally I hate the “QB wins” stat. It’s a team game and Ryan can’t control how well his offensive line blocks or how well his defense plays.
Today should be good football all around, with two very good football teams squaring off.
Can the Falcons ruin Aaron Rodger’s “streak”, or will Green Bay continue to silence their critics? Stay tuned...
This is your NFC Championship Open Thread... Have fun!
