The Chicago Bears have a second representative in the Pro Bowl with offensive guard Josh Sitton receiving the news today that he’ll replace injured T.J. Lang of the Green Bay Packers.
This will be the third straight Pro Bowl for Sitton and his fourth overall. His previous selections all came as a member of the Packers. Sitton will join his Bears’ teammate, rookie running back Jordan Howard, down in Orlando, Florida this week, as the two Bears practice for the Pro Bowl which takes place on Sunday, January 29th from Camping World Stadium at 7pm Central.
Sitton helped pave the way for Howard’s 1,313 yards rushing and he was also part of the pass protection that saw the Bears only allow 27 sacks, their fewest since the 2006 season. He played in 13 games, making 12 starts in 2016.
The soon to be 31 year old is signed through the 2018 season.
