The Chicago Tribune’s Brad Biggs is reporting that the Chicago Bears have fired long time John Fox assistant coaches Dave Magazu and Sam Garnes. Magazu was the teams offensive line coach and Garnes was an assistant defensive backs coach.

Biggs reported that there was friction between Magazu and the players during the season and “some wondered privately if he would be let go” with the team struggling to win games. With Magazu out, the Bears still have assistant o-line coach Ben Wilkerson and offensive assistant Kevin Mawae (a 2017 Hall Of Fame finalist as a center) around.

In case you missed it, it was reported that running backs coach Stan Drayton was also leaving to take a position with the University Of Texas.

Head coach John Fox also announced that all three of his coordinators, Vic Fangio (defense), Dowell Loggains (ofense) and Jeff Rodgers (special teams) will remain.

What are your thoughts on the coaching moves and non-moves by the Bears?
