We’re getting closer...

The debut of Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Biscuit Tru Trubs Mitch Mitchell Trubisky is this Monday night against the Minnesota Vikings, and this is exactly the shot of adrenaline this franchise needs.

Rebuilds are a tough. They never go quite as fast as the fans want, and there are always a few snags that slows the process for the franchise. In the NFL, a rebuild doesn’t really get rolling until you have the most important position figured out.

This Monday night is the first step in deciding if they have the quarterback position squared away.

In my latest T Formation Conversation podcast (Subscribe now on iTunes!), I was joined by Tar Heel Blog’s Jake Lawrence (@therealestrjl), who covered Mitchell Trubisky’s entire collegiate career at North Carolina for SB Nation. Jake and I talk about Trubisky’s time as a Tar Heel, and what we can expect from him as he settles into the role of franchise savior for the Bears.

We talk about Trubisky’s strengths and weaknesses. The types of plays he had success with in college and how Jake sees him progressing as a member of the Bears.

Here are a few in-case-you-missed-thems about Trubisky.

Back in May, Jake participated in a Q&A with us about Trubisky, and you can find that right here.

Earlier this week I discussed what the Bears offense could look like with Trubisky at the helm.
