Each week we’re setting aside this time slot to provide a forum for fantasy football conversation. Bring your questions about who to start / sit in the comment section. We’ll also grade trades and listen to how great your team is - seriously, no one else is going to do that. Let’s help each other win our leagues to ensure bragging rights around the neighborhood.
We’re a month into this thing and now is when the fun starts. There have been enough injuries that mathematically, you’ve already dealt with something in your lineup. If that’s not enough, we’re now faced with the bye weeks so some of those bench stashes are going to be thrown unceremoniously back into the deep end of the pool in exchange for a stop-gap WR who will finish with 1 catch for 9 yards before being dropped in anger on Tuesday morning. Yep - fun times.
Let’s talk a little Deshaun Watson. He’s been a boost for DeAndre Hopkins and now Will Fuller, so that’s definitely something to keep in mind. Watson will give you juice with his legs and can create enough by extending plays to put up good fantasy numbers. He’s still a rookie, so expect a high variance player from here on out.
I have one share of Watson. It’s in a 2 QB league where I decided to start him last week over Philip Rivers (I also have Carson Wentz). Obviously, it turned out to be the right play as he put in a dominant performance. If you didn’t invest in a top tier QB (Rodgers, Brady, Brees) and he’s still out there in the league, pick him up! If nothing else he’s more valuable on your bench than in an opponent’s lineup.
Who else started Watson? How are you filling the hole left by Dalvin Cook? Hit up the comment section for your fantasy questions!
