Bears mailbag call Week 11: Feeling the heat

A disappointing loss to the Packers coming off the bye week leaves many Bears in a precarious spot. There's a lot to answer for.

Prior to being hired by the Bears, head coach John Fox was 10-3 with his teams coming off of bye weeks. Ever since taking up the helm in Chicago, he's 0-3 with nary a prayer in sight. Quite the indictment.

There's no sugarcoating it: the Bears laid an egg in their 23-16 loss to the Packers on Sunday. They were undisciplined, unfocused, and generally looked ill-prepared against their rival who was visiting on a short week. Not an ideal scenario in any shape or form. Much of the blame will go towards the head coach in the coming days and weeks as we wind down this strange developmental Bears 2017 season.

With all that being said, what's on your mind regarding these Bears? They are all but certainly out of the playoff mix at 3-6, but there is still a lot to play for in terms of watching players grow, and even playing spoiler to set the contending table for 2018 and beyond.

As usual, this is your platform in a mailbag call in the comments below. Send me along any questions you have about Chicago's football team, life, pop culture, whatever, and I'll sort out the best in my mind. Let's have some fun amidst this chaos.

Don't worry. This Bears season will be over soon enough. With the hopeful ascension of Mitchell Trubisky to consider, there's still a bit of fun to extract out of it, however.
