Each week we’re setting aside this time slot to provide a forum for fantasy football conversation. Bring your questions about who to start / sit in the comment section. We’ll also grade trades and listen to how great your team is - seriously, no one else is going to do that. Let’s help each other win our leagues to ensure bragging rights around the neighborhood.
I must admit, the Chargers - Cowboys game gave me a lot of joy on Thanksgiving. No, not because the Cowboys lost...well, okay, that was good too, but it was the second straight week that one of my favorite players had a big game. Keenan Allen isn’t at the top of anyone’s list when discussing the best receivers in the league, but if you play fantasy football in a league that rewards receptions even a little, there are few that are more valuable.
It looks like Allen is healthy and ready to roll your squad into the playoffs with the suddenly hot Philip Rivers. In my home league (2 QB, 0.5PPR), my Rivers - Allen combination has essentially locked up a win before the Sunday slate of games. Allen won’t put up a ton of scores but he is a target monster, an expert route runner, and a sure-handed option for an offense that likes to sling it. I think he’s an underrated player who almost always comes at a discount at the draft table. In that home league I mentioned, I’ve had Allen in every year of his career, and he’s “under contract” for the next two.
We’ve already played 3 of the 16 games for the week. Anyone already looking ahead to week 13? What are you guys grappling with going into the last part of the fantasy football calendar? Hit up the comments below.
