The end of the year roster shuffle continues for the Chicago Bears with another player going on season ending injured reserve.
Earlier today the Bears placed safety Chris Prosinski on IR and elevated offensive lineman Brandon Greene from their practice squad.
Prosinski suffered a concussion last week against the Lions, and with only a couple games left the logical move is to place him on IR. Prosinski was signed less than a month ago when the Bears had some injury issue to the safety positions, but starter Adrian Amos returns this week, making him expendable.
Elevating Green (6’5”, 295) could be an indication that the doubtful Josh Sitton (ankle), the questionable Tom Compton (concussion), or possibly both will miss Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
The Bears may be forced to move Cody Whitehair over to guard, insert Hroniss Grasu at center, and play Bradley Sowell at the other guard spot.
A shaky Bears’ interior could be a problem against the 335 pound Danny Shelton.
