Chicago Bears Updates: Ryan Pace and John Fox meet the media

NFL: Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL Combine is underway and the first big bit of Chicago Bears’ news comes from general manager Ryan Pace and head coach John Fox, as they both met the media today.

You can check out the videos below, but here are a few highlights.

The Bears have not closed the door on a possible Alshon Jeffery return. He’ll test the market, see what is out there then the Bears may discuss a re-signing.

Jay Cutler remains an option in 2017 as well, with Pace calling the situation “fluid.” Pace also mentioned Brian Hoyer as being “part of the big equation” at the quarterback position, with Fox saying of Hoyer, "I thought he did a good job."

Kyle Long will not have surgery on his torn labrum, with doctors feeling it was best not to operate.

Pace and Fox both seem to believe their offensive line is a strength of the team.

Fox said that wide out Kevin White’s rehab is going good, and that they expect him to be 100% by the start of camp.

Both Pace and Fox talked about how the Bears are in position to add to the team via free agency, so I’d expect some splashy moves come March 9th.

Here’s Ryan Pace’s press conference.
