Bears schedule 2017: Dates, opponents, game times, tickets, and more

Who the Bears will play in 2017 and exactly when they’ll meet has been officially revealed.

In advance of the wide prime time reveal by the NFL at 7:00 C.T. tonight, the entirety of the Bears’ 2017 schedule is now available to inspire hope or begin planning for the draft again.

And all thanks to the reporting by the Chicago Tribune’s Brad Biggs and a long time Chicago sports radio personality in Harry Teinowitz. These schedules are typically released way in advance of any official event because of early leaks such as this.

Here is the official Chicago Bears’ 2017 schedule. (All times Central)

Preseason

1) Thur., Aug. 10 vs. Denver Broncos 7:00pm Fox32 Chicago / WBBM Radio

2) Sat., Aug. 19 at Arizona Cardinals 9:00pm Fox32 Chicago / WBBM Radio

3) Sun., Aug. 27 at Tennessee Titans Noon FOX / WBBM Radio

2017 Regular Season

Week 1: Sunday September 10th vs. Atlanta Falcons Noon FOX / WBBM Radio & Univision Radio

The Bears’ home opener comes against the defending NFC Champions and reigning MVP Matt Ryan.

Week 2: Sunday September 17th at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Noon FOX / WBBM Radio & Univision Radio

For the third straight season, Chicago will be on the road in Tampa Bay.

Week 3: Sunday September 24th vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Noon FOX / WBBM Radio & Univision Radio

Chicago faces off against the AFC North this season and last year’s AFC runner-up Steelers are up first in that division’s gauntlet.

It’s the third straight season the Bears travel to Lambeau Field for a Thursday evening contest in this rivalry.

Also the second consecutive year the Vikings come to meet the Bears at Soldier Field for an October night date.

Week 6: Sunday October 15th at Baltimore Ravens Noon* FOX / WBBM Radio & Univision Radio

A defensively revamped Ravens squad led by new safety Tony Jefferson awaits Chicago in Baltimore.

Week 7: Sunday October 22nd vs. Carolina Panthers Noon* FOX / WBBM Radio & Univision Radio

The Bears wrap up their season series against the Packers a little early this year with a home date right off of the bye week.

A Lions team revamped with a new offensive line puts the Bears defense to the test at home.

After a 29-14 humiliating defeat at home on a Monday night last year, the Bears will look for revenge at Philadelphia on Thanksgiving weekend.

For the third straight season, San Francisco visits the Bears on the first weekend of December.

After a disappointing 2016 season, the Bengals might be on the downturn by late 2017 by the time the Bears visit them.

Week 15: Saturday December 16th at Detroit Lions 3:30pm NFLN / WBBM Radio & Univision Radio

The Bears finish their seasons series with Detroit in a rare late Saturday afternoon game.

Week 16: Sunday December 24th vs. Cleveland Browns Noon* CBS / WBBM Radio & Univision Radio

Chicago gets a glimpse of likely No. 1 overall pick Myles Garrett when the Browns come to town on Christmas Eve.

Finally, for the second consecutive season, the Bears close a regular season campaign in Minnesota.

2017-18 Post Season

Notes:

  • Flex scheduling can happen any time for Sunday games between Week 5 and 17.*
  • Chicago has two overall prime time games against their NFC North rivals in the Packers (Thursday) and Vikings (Monday).
  • The Bears don’t play an opponent that was under .500 in 2016 until the Panthers in Week 7.
  • The second half of Chicago’s schedule eases up with only five of eight games against 2016 playoff teams. (Two games against Detroit and one against Green Bay the other.)
