This is it, my final Chicago Bears mock draft of 2017. I always try to take on a different mindset in each mock I do, and this time I tried to channel my inner Ryan Pace. So I made each Bears’ selection as if I were the general manager of the Bears. I wasn’t as rigid with a best player available policy like I was in my first mock, but I stayed fairly close to BPA, because that’s what Pace has done in the past. I did take into account team need and the Bears scheme when drafting.
As I’ve done in past mocks, I utilized Fanspeak’s fun draft simulation tool and I went with the CBS big board for the draft. Here’s a link so you guys can see how my mock fell.
For a differing point of view, I had our very own draft guru, EJ Snyder, give his take on my selections, and offer up an alternative as if he were the GM picking for the Bears.

EJ and I went back and forth for nearly 30 minutes, so it’s my longest podcast to date!
We were just having too much fun discussing the Bears and the 2017 NFL Draft so we had to go keep it rolling.
Here’s how I envisioned Pace drafting.
First Round - Pick 3: Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson
Second Round - Pick 36: Obi Melifonwu, S, UConn
Third Round - Pick 67: ArDarius Stewart, WR, Alabama
Fourth Round - Pick 111: Trey Hendrickson, OLB, Florida Atlantic
Fourth Round - Pick 117: Adam Bisnowaty, OT, Pittsburgh
Fifth Round - Pick 147: Corn Elder, CB, Miami (FL)
Seventh Round - Pick 221: Jake Elliott, K, Memphis
For my reasoning behind my picks and EJs fabulous analysis, be sure to give the podcast a listen.
