2017 NFL Draft: Chicago Bears Trade Up, Select Mitchell Trubisky with #2 Overall Pick

The Bears have made their selection, and hopefully aren’t picking this high any time in the near future.

Nobody likes it when their football team is picking this high in the draft. 99.9% of the time, it means you had a bad season.

So the Bears took their opportunity to move up one spot to #2 overall, giving up their third and a fourth round pick in this draft and a third round pick in 2018 to jump the 49ers.

And with the #2 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears select: Mitchell Trubisky, QB, UNC.

Wow.

I don’t think anybody was expecting a trade-up, and that if they were to draft a quarterback it would be either DeShaun Watson or Deshone Kizer.

But that’s the pick. Welcome to Chicago, Mitchell Trubisky.

What are your reactions to the pick?
