It hasn’t been a 2017 NFL Draft that many Chicago Bears’ fans were expecting, but all these guys are high ceiling type of players. If Ryan Pace hits on these guys, the Bears will be on their way to respectability.
With the 147th pick in the 5th round of the NFL draft, the Bears take offensive lineman, Jordan Morgan of Kutztown University. John Fox and his coaching staff had Morgan at the Senior Bowl.
Morgan checked in at 6’3”, 309 pounds at the NFL Combine, and he was a four year starter at left tackle in college. He has long arms, but he’ll probably kick inside to guard. Scouts say he’s good with his hands and arms, but he need to bring his lower body with him on some blocks to prevent lunging. Scouts also love his nastiness.
SB Nation had a lengthy write up on Morgan and you can find that right here.
