The Chicago Bears have plenty of needs for their football team, none of which were addressed in full during free agency. They added a number of players at their need positions, but none of those players makes you 100% comfortable that the positional need was met.
With that being said, the Bears have put themselves in position to go best player available with the 3rd overall pick in the draft. But what will the best player available be on general manager Ryan Pace’s board?
Two players that have been receiving some buzz of late are Ohio State’s Malik Hooker and Marshon Lattimore. Hooker is starting to be mentioned as an alternative to LSUs Jamal Adams as the safety with the highest ceiling, and Lattimore has been the top corner prospect for months now.
In my latest T Formation Conversation podcast (Subscribe now on iTunes!), I take a look at the recent mock draft trends for the top three teams picking in the draft, the Cleveland Browns, the San Francisco 49ers and the Chicago Bears.
I also discuss the possibility of either Hooker or Lattimore being in play for the Bears at three. Spoiler alert, I don’t think they will be, although it wouldn’t surprise me.
