About two weeks ago, I asked you guys which of the 2017 Draft eligible quarterbacks was your favorite, and by a wide margin you voted for Clemson’s Deshaun Watson.
Today I want to open it up to all positions, and find out which player you want the Bears to take with the 3rd overall pick.
I think it’s safe to say that Myles Garrett, Texas A&M’s outstanding defensive end, won’t fall to the Bears at three overall, but after him, I think it’s up in the air who’ll be left. Most have Garrett going to the Browns at one, and if by some off chance they pass on Garrett, there’s no way he’ll get past the 49ers at two. So for the sake of this wishlist, he’s not eligible.
Now before you vote, I want you to give some thought who the 49ers would take at tow. If you believe they would take Watson, then don’t vote Watson in the poll. If you think the ‘Niners are taking Stanford’s Solomon Thomas, then don’t vote Thomas in the poll.
Here are the guys I’ll let you vote on, and if you do pick “other,” make sure you tell us your other in the comment section.
- Solomon Thomas, DE, Stanford - Athletic freak that could line up anywhere along the defensive front.
- Jamal Adams, S, LSU - Some call him a strong safety, but his 4.33* forty at his pro day disagrees. *(Even if it was a 4.4, it’s still plenty fast.)
- Jonathan Allen, DL, Alabama - At 6’3”, 286 pounds, he could play the 5-Tech DE spot and kick inside on sub-packages to rush the passer.
- Marshon Lattimore, CB, Ohio State - The consensus #1 corner in this draft class also has the highest ceiling.
- Malik Hooker, FS, Ohio State - A true center-field, ball-hawking, free safety.
- Mitchel Trubisky, QB, North Carolina - He’s the favorite QB prospect of our very own EJ Snyder.
- Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson - You guys picked him as your favorite in the aforementioned poll.
- Other - I’ve seen some argue for O.J. Howard, Patrick Mahomes II, DeShone Kizer and others...
- Trade Back - I’m curious to see how many of you guys would be OK with the Bears trading back and possibly missing out on all of the guys listed above.
