The Chicago Bears open rookie minicamp on Friday, May 12, and it will run through Sunday, May 14. Expect to see all the 2017 draft picks, a bunch of signed undrafted free agents, a slew of unsigned try out rookies, a few veteran try outs and a couple of young signed veterans.
Even if the Bears don’t get their draft picks signed before they take the field, the NFL has a provision in place that will protect them in case of injury. But with that being said, I’d expect some signings soon.
EJ as some scouting reports on the Bears’ UDFAs right here, so that is a must read.
The star of the camp will no doubt be Mitchell Trubisky, but he’s not the only player that could stand out this weekend.
In my latest T Formation Conversation podcast (Subscribe now for free on iTunes!), I go over a few of the rookies I believe will make an impact this weekend.
In case the above embed doesn’t work, here’s a link to the show via Twitter.

Who are some Bears’ rookies you’re excited to hear about this weekend?
EDIT: Reports are that the Bears have waived fullback Paul Lasike. This doesn’t surprise me, they haven't used a FB much in the past, plus the UDFA from Florida State, Freddie Stevenson, is a better blocker.
I was also on the Chase Thomas podcast last night, and you can hear me talking more general Bears stuff right here. My segment starts right after the 59 minute mark.
PODCAST! @VaughnMJohnson on some WWE things. Plus, @wiltfongjr on the Bears craziness.https://t.co/4nzbDe1qMWhttps://t.co/S31PTK8C2T
