Chicago Bears Rookie Minicamp recap: Just call him “Big Daddy”

NFL: Chicago Bears-Rookie Minicamp Matt Marton-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bears wrapped up their 2017 rookie minicamp earlier today, and when practice ended, fourth round pick Tarik Cohen met the media and recealed yet another nickname. At his post draft conference call, he revealed he prefers the nickname “Chicaken Salad” over the more prominent “Human Joystick,” but today when asked how his name is pronounced, he replied "Tuh-reek or Big Daddy."

Of the three nickmanes, I think Big Daddy is a nice fit for the 5’6”, 179 pounder, although once we see him with the pads on in a game, I hope he does something that makes us want to call him the Human Joystick.

Even though he’s been compared to Darren Sproles, he said he’d like to have a Tyreek Hill type of game, which means making an impact from the backfield, as a slot receiver and in the return game.

He also has a great sense of humor, as evidenced by this tweet from yesterday.

Head coach John Fox also met the media today and here’s what he said about Big Daddy.

And here are a few more Tweets about Cohen.

John Fox was also complimentary about his rookie QB, Mitchell Trubisky, saying "He's had a great camp. We've really had a good productive camp."

This happened today too...

And one more thing...

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms out there!
