Kyle Long has given us Bears fans an update on his rehabilitation from ankle surgery. This is great news that he is progressing well. With training camp still roughly six weeks away, it appears that he getting on-track for the season.
An update on Long’s weight:

329 is in Long’s stated goal of 325-330 lbs for the upcoming season. This is especially news worthy since he was a paltry 265 lbs back in February.
265 lbs in mid February.... looked sick. Feeling healthy and strong again, happy with the way Bears staff have guided me through recovery

Since the surgery in December, Long has been rehabbing and working his way into football shape. Taking a cue from this past summer’s Olympians, Long appears to be getting “cupped” here.

Editor: Would you like to know what’s going on in the pic above? Josh explains “cupping” in this article right here.
And a quick update on the mindset. As one would suspect with a person such as Long, he is in good spirits. I, for one, cannot wait to see this man crushing the spirits of opposing defensive lineman on Sunday’s!
for the first time since my injury i worked on explosive movements. box jumps (low ones haha) and broad jumps. some days slower than others-

the hard thing through this process has been remaining positive, even harder than that is being patient. its been a grind getting healthy..
