Chicago Bears 2017 Training Camp Recap: Mitchell Trubisky looking sharp

NFL: Chicago Bears-Rookie Minicamp Matt Marton-USA TODAY Sports

It was the first day of training camp for the Chicago Bears, and most eyes were on rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. The second overall pick did not disappoint. He had some plays that elicited loud cheers from the fans down in Bourbonnais. There may not be a quarterback controversy if you talk to the front office or the coaching staff, but I guarantee you, if Trubisky continues looking sharp, he’ll win over every Bears’ fan. The call to start Trubisky week one will continue to grow.

I caught up with our very own Robert Zeglinski, who is down at training camp covering the Bears, and he had this to say about his first impression on #10. “(Trubisky) trusts his arm clearly very well, sometimes too much, but no egregious mistakes (at practice today).” I asked him what was his most impressive throw, and he said there was a “roll out on a shallow cross with a defender in his face, and ripped it.”

Here’s a Twitter run down of some other highlights from practice and the post practice press conferences.

That’s all I got today, if you see a good tweet from camp, be sure to share it in the comment section.
