The Chicago Bears have one more day of training camp at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL, before packing up and heading to Halas Hall. Today’s practice is closed to the public, and knowing our luck, this will be the day they install all the crazy trick plays for the offense that the media can’t report on anyway.
Since this is a closed practice, that means no live tweeting form the media, including our own Robert Zeglinski, who has not only been at camp providing great coverage for us, but also for his other writing gig, the Rock River Times.
In case you missed it, the Bears signed a kicker. Roberto Aguayo, one of the greatest college kickers of all time, will compete with Connor Barth for the job. Hopefully the change of scenery is all that was needed for Aguayo, because if he’s right, he could be an upgrade. Aguayo was issued uniform number #1.
The Bears also lost wide out Markus Wheaton to a fractured pinky yesterday, which is a tough break for him after recovering from his appendectomy. This latest setback shouldn’t keep him down for long, but the newcomer has missed a lot of practice time.
As soon as practice ends, Robert will start firing out Tweets from the post practice press conferences. So for your convenience, here’s his Twitter feed, so you guys can keep it locked right here in this Open Thread and discuss the Chicago Bears.
Also as a reminder, Tweets from our individual writers do not necessarily reflect the views of Windy City Gridiron, SB Nation, or VOX Media.
