Chicago Bears Injury Updates: Three starters left the game

NFL: Chicago Bears at Tennessee Titans Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bears knocked off the Tennessee Titans with a final score of 19 to 7, but the game may have been a costly one for a few Bears.

Wide out Cameron Meredith, who left in the first half after his knee bent in a way a knee isn’t meant to bend, seems to have an ACL injury of sort according to head coach John Fox. He will have an MRI tomorrow to determine the severity of the injury, but the speculation is that it is torn.

John Fox also said that long napper Patrick Scales has a “serious” knee injury, and he left the locker room with a brace on his leg and using crutches. With Scales out, back up lineman Bradley Sowell took over long snapping duties and he did quite well. I’m not sure he did well enough to keep the job moving into the regular season, so a roster move may be needed.

Cornerback Prince Amukamara left the game after one play with an ankle injury and the Bears called his return doubtful.

Outside linebacker Leonard Floyd left the game in the second half with a foot injury, and the Bears called him questionable.

The doubtful/questionable designations are important to note, because questionable usually means less severe of an injury.

Linebacker Dan Skuta left the game in the second half and was evaluated for a concussion.
