Yesterday was an interesting day of practice for the Chicago Bears, and hopefully if you didn’t make it down there, you at least followed along with our very own Robert Zeglinski and Andrew Link as they live Tweeted seemingly every second of the practice.
The offense got the better of the day, with third year wide out Kevin White having his best performance of camp, and rookie running back Tarik Cohen, once again, looking like he’ll be able to provide the lightening to Jordan Howard’s thunder. Cohen even remarked that he’s looking forward to being a one-two punch with Howard.
Head coach John Fox actually described Cohen as a “match-up problem” for opposing defenses, and he said a reason they drafted him was his potential as a returner. Another rookie that projects to the return game, is safety Eddie Jackson, and Fox, who is usually pretty vague with what he gives the media, said that Jackson reminds him of Hall Of Famer Rod Woodson because of his return ability and ball skills.
Kyle Long and Danny Trevathan continue to practice, but remain sidelined during team drills. Josh Sitton returned from paternity leave, and there were no serious injuries on Wednesday.
There also were zero fumbled snaps from rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, something Josh Sunderbruch was tired of hearing about.
In case you missed it, here’s Andrew’s training camp notebook from yesterday, and Andrew also jumped on with Da Bears’ Brothers podcast to recap Tuesday’s practice, which you can check out right here.
fyi... Andrew will be back at camp next Monday and Tuesday
