Josh Rounds’ agent Fischman & Wiltz tweeted at 2:40 today that the Tulane running back signed with the Chicago Bears. The Bears tweeted at 3:27 making it official, and announcing that they waived Joel Bouagnon.

Per Chicago Sun Times writer Adam Jahns, the Bears tried out multiple running backs at camp today before choosing Rounds.

Rounds played four years at Tulane and averaged 6.1 yards per carry in his senior year (5.9 average for his college career). He totaled 758 yards and 7 TDs over that senior season.

He showed some promising athleticism at his Pro Day. At 5’11”, 207 pounds, he posted a 40 time clocked between 4.52 and 4.7 seconds and a 20 yard shuttle of 4.34 and a 3 cone time of 7.20 seconds.

According to nola.com, he received mini camp invites with the Arizona Cardinals and of course, our Chicago Bears.

Stay tuned for more on Rounds as we take a closer look at his college career.
