With the Chicago Bears over a week into training camp, some of the roster battles are starting to sort themselves out. We’ve seen a few injuries give opportunities to others, we’ve already had the first cut of camp, and a few youngsters are starting to assert themselves as bonafide players for the 2017 season.
In my latest episode of T Formation Conversation (subscribe now on iTunes for free), I take a look at one key roster battle taking place at each offensive position group.
You can consider this a companion piece to my roster battles series, where I’m breaking down every position group on the Bears. Yesterday I hit the specialists, and next week I’ll start on the defensive side of the ball. I’ve already gone over the offense, and you can read those right here.
- OL - The offensive line will be even better this year
- TE - Tight end could be a strength of the team
- WR - Will wide receiver Tanner Gentry make the final 53?
- RB - Who will back up Jordan Howard?
- QB - Who will be the third quarterback?
