Can you believe this year's Chicago Bears training is almost halfway over?
With Family Fest on the horizon this weekend and a preseason contest against the Denver Broncos later next week, the Bears' open August preparation is just about ready to be marked and wrapped up.
Until then, there's still a lot of early impressions to gauge from camp thus far. What do we make of the Kevin White-Zach Azzanni pseudo story? How has Mitch Trubisky looked? Is this tight end group the bastion of the Bears offense or is it too early too tell?
Lorin Cox, of Pro Football Focus and The Bears Wire hops on WCG Radio this week to discuss these pressing camp topics and so much more. (Player link here.)
On this episode of WCG Radio
- Early impressions of the Mike Glennon and Mitch Trubisky QB "controversy." Why Glennon is "fine."
- Standouts thus far in camp with a few full pad days under the Bears' belts from Leonard Floyd to Kyle Fuller.
- Debating the Bears' safety group and best maximization for Vic Fangio.
- UDFA's we've appreciated thus far.
- How good can the Bears' tight end group be realistically? Should we pump the brakes on Adam Shaheen's growth?
- The Kevin White-Zach Azzanni situation: this year's unnecessary story of camp needs necessary context. It'll be a mental process for White, but he might not be in the wrong.
- Opening the mailbag on Floyd's potential, flash from Jonathan Bullard as well as Roy Robertson-Harris, dips in play for Jordan Howard, and more.
