The Chicago Bears have a game in a few days, as they’ll host the Denver Broncos in their first preseason contest on Thursday. So technically, this is Broncos’ week for the Bears, but since this is game one, neither team will do much, if any, gameplanning. Both teams will be focusing on individual match-ups among the players, watching how the rookies take to NFL speed, and most importantly, staying healthy.
The odds are high that we won’t see may starters for very long, but the rookie class should see plenty of action.
Keep in mind this is the first step in what will be a long 2017 season, so don’t get too high or too low based on what we see in this practice game.
As for today’s training camp, we have a couple Windy City Gridiron staffers down covering the event. Robert Zeglinski is there, as he’s been for it’s entirety, and he’s once again joined by Andrew Link.
Remember, this is an open thread (rated WCG-MA), so there might be a naughty word or two in the comment section. But also remember, you guys still need to follow our community guidelines.
