In the latest edition of my T Formation Conversation podcast — Subscribe now on iTunes for free! — I’m joined by our lead draft analyst, EJ Snyder, to get his take on Chicago Bears’ fan favorite, Tanner Gentry.
EJ actually wrote about Gentry back in the spring as a part of our pre-draft coverage at WCG, but he went back to freshen up on Gentry’s college tape from his time at Wyoming
We not only discussed what to expect from Gentry, but I also got EJ’s thoughts on the entire Bears’ 2017 draft class. We also spent a little time discussing Mike Glennon and the quarterback situation in Chicago, how Nick Kwiatkoski will fill in for the injured Jerrell Freeman, and sprinkled in a few more Bears’ nuggets.
Here’s a basic outline of our talking points:
- I asked what EJ has seen from draft picks Jordan Morgan, Tarik Cohen, Eddie Jackson, and Adam Shaheen so far.
- He gave me his take on Mitchell Trubisky’s play through preseason and I got his thoughts on the QB plan.
- Scouting reports on new Bears Tre McBride and Taquan Mizzell.
- What we should expect from Nick Kwiatkoski filling in at ILB.
- Tanner Gentry Time!
