Chicago Bears Injury Report: Three Bears should make their season debuts

Here’s the injury report for the Chicago Bears and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Markus Wheaton has been a member of the Chicago Bears for over six months, yet we don’t have one picture of him in Bears’ garb available to us from either of our two photo services.

That should all change on Sunday when he faces his former team — Revenge Game Alert! — in his Chicago debut. Wheaton has practiced all week and isn’t on the injury report, so everything points to him joining Kendall Wright at wide receiver, giving quarterback Mike Glennon another experienced weapon.

Also set to make his season debut is left guard Kyle Long, who has been out with a surgically repaired ankle. If it wasn’t for an over-training setback in the off season we would have seen him sooner, but the extra time may be a blessing as it gave his torn labrum even more time to heal.

One more Bear in line to play the first time this year is corner back Prince Amukamara who also practiced all week.

Here’s the full injury report for the Bears.

OL - Tom Compton - Questionable

RG - Josh Sitton - Doubtful (DNP all week)

ILB - Nick Kwiatkoski - Out

But there is some good news on Kwiatkoski.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have the following players on their report and as soon as we get the official designations we’ll pass it along. .

OLB - T.J. Watt - Out

OT - Marcus Gilbert - Out

OT - Jerald Hawkins - Questionable

DL - Stephon Tuitt - Questionable
