The Chicago Bears set their 53-man roster on Saturday, then made some minor changes on Sunday, then even more on Monday. It’s very likely they’ll make more changes after week one is over, because vested veterans that are added after week one do not have their full salary guaranteed.
After watching this team in the four preseason games, I’m confident in saying this 2017 group is better than last year’s squad. Injuries could affect their performance, but there’s no way they’ll be as injured as last season. Is there? Last year the Bears led the NFL in games lost due to injuries, so if they get a little luck, this team might surprise.
In my latest T Formation Conversation, I go over the Bears’ current 53-man roster, and give my thoughts on how these players could perform this year.
