Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse — a survey of fans across the NFL, powered by SurveyMonkey. Each week, we send 32 polls to 100+ plugged in fans from each team. Bears fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.
When looking over these FanPulse survey results from all 32 fanbases, I’m amazed at the fluctuation as teams win and lose. The question is, ‘How confident are you in the direction of the team?’ not, ‘How pissed off are you that your team lost?’
Yet week in and week out, most of these results spike and dip depending on the outcomes of their games. Which leads me to our fanbase...
The Chicago Bears have dropped two straight games. They went from first place in the NFC North to last place in the division with their loss last week to the New England Patriots, and yet our FanPulse results have stayed fairly steady. We were at 85% last week, and this week we’re at 84%. Our high point was 96% after the Buccaneers blow out, and out low point was at 82% which popped up twice. First after the Packers loss, then again after the win in Arizona.
I think this means that most of our FanPulse voters get where this team is heading. Winning this season would be outstanding, but the future is bright.
