On Friday, Chicago Bears rookie wide out Anthony Miller was back at his alma mater, the University of Memphis, signing autographs on campus at the bookstore. While there he told The Daily Helmsman’s Joshua Alfonzo Vinson that he expects to return to the field after the bye week.
Miller dislocated his left shoulder twice during Chicago’s week 3 win in Arizona, and he missed their 48-10, week 4 drubbing of the Buccaneers last Sunday. Leading up to the Bucs game, head coach Matt Nagy called Miller day to day, although he was held out of practice the whole week.
The Bears had their entire bye week off of practice, and they aren’t due back at Halas Hall until Monday for a light workout. The Bears aren’t required to give an injury report until Wednesday, so we’ll have to wait and see how they list Miller.
Chicago’s next game is against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, October 14, at noon in Hard Rock Stadium.
Miller gave a brief on camera interview to Vinson that he shared via Twitter.
