The 8-3 Chicago Bears will take on the 3-8 New York Giants Sunday at noon (Central time) in a game the Bears need to win to keep their strangle hold atop the NFC North. They currently lead the Vikings by a game and a half, and a win would add pressure to the Vikes before they kickoff in New England at 3:35. The Giants still have an outside shot at the NFC East crown, but they’ll need to win out and get plenty of help.
The NFC playoff race did get a little more interesting with the Thursday night loss from the top seeded New Orleans Saints. They fell to 9-2 and dropped to the second seed with the 10-1 Los Angeles Rams taking over the #1 spot in the conference. Chicago hosts the Rams in a couple weeks on Sunday Night Football, but unless they get by the G-Men tomorrow that match-up won’t have as much luster.
