Monday Night Football Open Thread

New, comments

The Bears should be taking notes, because they have meaningful football ahead of them, and at least one potential opponent of the near future is on display tonight.

It’s Monday Night Football and the Carolina Panthers are taking on their division rivals (and guaranteed Division Champions) the New Orleans Saints. The Panthers are still technically alive in the playoff hunt, and the Saints are trying to capitalize on some stumbles by the Rams in order to secure the #1 seed overall.

Beyond the fact that this could very well be a high quality football game, there is also the fact that Bears fans finally have a chance to look at playoff teams from the perspective that these contenders could be opponents in the near future. The Saints are on the road, which means that they won’t have the amazing homefield advantage that they are likely to enjoy during the playoffs, but they are still a potent offense.

Here it is. An open thread for fans watching a fellow division champion finishing up its season. Let everyone know what you’re looking at, and Open Thread Responsibly.
