In my latest T Formation Conversation podcast, I spend a little time recapping Mitchell Trubisky’s day against the San Francisco 49ers in the Chicago Bears 14-9 win. He only had four incomplete passes on the day, yet some were trying to paint the picture that he sucked last Sunday afternoon.
If you haven’t seen this breakdown from Dan Orlovsky yet, give it a watch because I reference it in my show.
ALL OF YOU @ChicagoBears fans-Your coach is A WEAPON. This is called in game adjusting. This is called being aggressive. This is called having feel and seeing the game differently. WOW #Bears fans RT THIS! @thekapman @kfishbain @SarahSpain #NFLGamepass pic.twitter.com/aj8HTqxa4B

After breaking down some of Trubisky’s play and the game-plan from last week, I turn my attention to this Sunday’s season finale against the Minnesota Vikings. It’s a must win for Minny, and the Bears are still playing for the two seed in the NFC.
On paper, the Bears are the better team, but emotions could be higher for the home team, plus there is a scenario where the Bears pull their starters at halftime.
If they play to win, I think the Bears will win, and my three keys for the game are;
- Pass protection
- Let Trubisky control the tempo
- Make Kirk Cousins beat them
After hitting on a Vikings preview, I turn my attention to a few questions I got from Twitter.
I answer them in this order...
From what you’ve seen on film, How does Jordan Howard’s pass pro compare with his other production ? Is his reduced yardage made up for in what he brings in pass pro?

When Long comes back, do they make the cut on the O-Line or somewhere else?

Why do some fans believe that cap space is more important than good players?

I need a power ranking of Bears that you don’t want to meet in a dark alley.
