After a slow day one of the free agency negotiating window on Monday, Ryan Pace and the Chicago Bears came out determined to get their guys on day two. A deal with wide out Allen Robinson was agreed on in the wee hours of Tuesday morning. Then tight end Trey Burton was the next weapon they added to Matt Nagy’s offense.
Two seasons of crap in the kicking game was enough for Pace, so he made a move on former Dolphin Cody Parkey and his 91.3 field goal percentage. News of Parkey’s former team plucking wide out Albert Wilson away from the Bears stung, but Pace quickly landed a similar player in speedster Taylor Gabriel.
Wednesday night came word that corner Prince Amukamara was likely returning, but the Lions were reported to have a deal in place with linebacker Christian Jones.
Free agency officially kicks off at 3 P.M. Chicago time today when the 2018 league year opens.
