This one seems like a no-brainer to me.
The Chicago Bears could use an interior offensive lineman, and Quenton Nelson is the best one available in the 2018 NFL Draft.
In just about every mock draft that has been floating around the last few months, Notre Dame’s Nelson has been the consensus pick for the Bears when he was still on their mock boards.
Scouts peg him as a future All Pro, and a perennial Pro Bowler, and he just so happens to play the same position as Josh Sitton, whom the Bears recently released.
Everything is falling into place for the Bears to take the 2017 unanimous All-American.
One of the teams picking ahead of the Bears could snatch him up, and there has been talk of a team trading up for him, but if he’s there at eight*, should the Bears take him?
*Let’s assume that N.C. State’s Bradley Chubb and Saquon Barkley of Penn State are both off the board.
