According to Josh Norris, who writes for Rotoworld and NBC Sports, the Chicago Bears are meeting with cornerback Mike Hughes from the University of Central Florida today.

Hughes is getting a first round grade by some internet scouts, but he could be there when the Bears pick in the second round. At the NFL Combine, he checked in at 5’10”, 189 pounds, and he ran a 4.53 forty. His bench press (20 reps) and 3-cone time (6.70), were among the best among corners.

He only played at UCF for one season, but he had 49 tackles, 4 interceptions (1 TD), a forced fumble and 11 passes defended. He also excelled as a returner, with 2 touchdowns on kickoffs (31.8 avg), and a TD as a punt returner (16.6 avg).

He began his collegiate career at the University of North Carolina in 2015, but a suspension led to him leaving the school. He played the 2016 season at Garden City Community College and he was named a JUCO All-American.
