The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Chicago Bears are meting with Iowa cornerback Josh Jackson today as one of their thirty pre-draft visits.

Jackson is one of the top corners available and a likely first round pick. He led the nation with eight interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns. He also had 48 tackles, a forced fumble and 18 passes defended.

At the NFL Combine he checked in at 6’, and 196 pounds, and he was a top performer at his position in the bench (18 reps) and the 20-yard shuttle (4.03). He went 4.56 in the forty and had a 38’ vertical leap. He has the size and athleticism that the Bears like in their corners.

Some scouts worry about his lack of experience (only 14 starts), but his 2017 production was very impressive. According to NFL.com, he “allowed 41.3 percent completion rate,” and he “made a play on 25.7 percent of his targets.”
